Non Linear Overview
The term “non linear editing” is usually
associated with a
computer
based software driven system where
digitized
video
& audio clips
stored on a hard drive
or
server are placed on a timeline.
Multiple
video
& audio tracks can be placed on the
timeline (pictured left). With non linear the
project can be assembled onto the timeline in
any order.
The
timeline plays the in and out
points of the clips on the
hard
drive. Making changes to the timeline is just like moving sentences around in a
word
processing programme

I’M A CELEBRITY Get Me Out
Of Here
Set in
the Australian jungle
ten celebrities without the luxury
of the external
world experience jungle life. The celebrities
are
recorded 24 hrs 7 days a week, daily
programmes over
a two week period are
produced and transmitted live to air
overseas from
the jungle location.
Viewer votes recorded
from their home country decide the
celebrity to be evicted daily from the jungle camp until the last
celebrity left is crowned King or Queen of the Jungle. 7 shows
have been produced 4 for the

to make entertaining
and educational viewing.
The people of
French Provence share their
unique and gregarious customs, traditions and
legends,
which are drawn from
history, superstition and religion.
Their
diversity and love of life is based on fun,
food and drink and is displayed
in festivals, dramatic art,
celebrations and sport.The series
contains six episodes of fifty-five minutes each, my duties
included the
off line and on line
editing, audio track laying
for sound mixing and colour grading of
the six episodes

FAHIMEH’S STORY
An observational documentary about a
vivacious 47 year
old
Iranian woman who
migrated with her children to
after fleeing an unhappy, arranged marriage
to a husband
who she could not divorce under Iranian law. Five years on
she has fallen
in love with and married John, a 77 year old
Australian ex-army officer
and RSL member. John is now
converting to Islam
in order to better
relate to his
young wife. Both John’s
and Fahimeh’s children are
unhappy
about the marriage.My duties
included
the on line editing and colour grading
